In our lecture this week we
learnt about frameworks and how they can help to teach the students about ICTs.
The first one we learnt about was TPACK. TPACK stands for Technological (ICTs), Pedagogical
(the how and what of teaching) and Content Knowledge
(subject, discipline knowledge).
TPACK caters for all
learners and is a 21st century orientated theory. It includes tools that
learners are familiar with and strategies that include higher order thinking. This
theory was created as a conceptual framework for educational technology so that
teachers can integrate technology into their pedagogy.
